Augers are fast becoming the most popular attachment for excavator owners and operators. Even small excavators now have the capacity to drill several meters deep, but with this comes the headache of drilling straight and level.
Alignment systems are now available, making this a simple task even for inexperienced operators without a spotter.
The most cost effective system on the market for accurate drilling is the Diggalign Inclinometer from Digga. It offers an accuracy of 2° for depths of up to 13ft and accuracy of 0.5° for depths over 13ft. The product is simple to use, with LED readouts to inform the operator of when they are drilling out of alignment. This makes it possible for the operator to make adjustments while drilling, without leaving the operator station.
